Warwick Wanderers went through to the second round of the ISS Peter Dawson Benevolent Cup without kicking a ball as the team they were supposed to play find themselves suspended by the County FA, as a result of a non fulfilment of a fixture they will also be in a spot of bother with the league now too as per league rules.
The games that did play saw Borough and Silloth clash in a five goal cracker, Borough bid fare well to Alan Berry as he signed off with all three goals Paul Hayton and Andrew Trestiarnu got the consolations for the visitors, Borough management and players would like to thank Alan Berry for his services to the club as Alan is now off on a tour of the world so who will now step up to the mark as Berry has netted a few so they will require a new hot shot.
Carlisle City saw off the challenge of Harraby Catholic Club Youth Ollie Driver netted two and Dan Gowarth the other in a three nil win.
The surprise of the round came at Lon were division one side St.Bees knocked out the premier league runners up Dan Hughes scored for Longtown and it was John Ennis with two that won it for the saints all three goals came from the penalty spot and Longtown will be looking for revenge this week as they host the saint this week in the Smurfit Kappa Conway Cup I am sure they will have a stronger team out this week St.Bees you have been warned.
No trouble for Netherhall as Ben Byers and Dean Scholey hit two each while fellow midfielder Dan Burgess netted three in the seven  nil win over Whitehaven Miners.
St.Bees Reserves went down at home to Bransty Rangers as sixteen year old Micheal Galloway got his side through with the winners as he hit two Mark Coward and Chris Armstrong netted the other two Ryan Benson netted both for the home side.
Wigton Athletic and Cockerm were all square at the start at nil nil after ninety minutes it was two each and at the end of extra time it was four each so pens were required to sort out a winner and it was the first division side that won that four two and that gave us our second shock of this cup, Richard O'keef, Jamie Hubner and Thomas Rudd with two for Wigton Athletic while Natt Mitchell, Keith Skillen Dan Burns and James Carruthers for Cockermouth.
